Need a little inspiration…?
"Running is a road to self-awareness and reliance-you can push yourself to extremes and learn the harsh reality of your physical and mental limitations or coast quietly down a solitary path watching the earth spin beneath your feet."
-Doris Brown Heritage
"A runner must run with dreams in his heart." -Emil Zatopek
"Now bid me run, and I will strive with things impossible."-Shakespeare
Fun reading your article. I suspect you would find a trail 50k surprisingly enjoyable, the pressure of pace and speed are not there, aid stations have all sorts of amazing goodies like M&Ms and flat soda pop, the views are outstanding… I really hope a trail ultra is in your running future at some point… You will love it! (And kick ass too)
Thanks Marci! Not quite ready to tackle that beast:)
