On the road again…

I raced the Cherry Blossom 10 miler in Washington DC about a month ago placed 10th American in a tough field. This race had been on my bucket list for sometime and never seemed to workout due to conflicting with summer track. It may have taken me a few years too long to make the starting line, but it was well worth it.

I had not been to our Nation’s Capital since high-school and had forgotten how impressive the Mall is especially this time of year. Cherry Blossom was my first race in a while, and although painful the sites along made it a fun race as a post-baby comeback. I certainly felt a bit rusty, but I actually enjoyed the pain of racing again. It’s good to feel like I am back where I belong.
